4 schemes for
your installation

In the Balearics there are four schemes for a solar installation: the IRPF income-tax deduction (20-60%), the municipal IBI rebate, the municipal ICIO rebate, and the Govern's FACTOR 2026 call, open until 28 February 2027. For private individuals FACTOR does not cover the panels themselves, but it does cover the battery, heat pump and EV charge point. None of them is a discount on the invoice: you pay for the installation and recover afterwards, each through its own channel.

What's available

Four different schemes, and they don't all work the same

One arrives as money, three as lower taxes. Worth knowing which is which before doing the maths.

FACTOR

FACTOR 2026 — direct Govern grant

Open until 28 February 2027. Covers battery, heat pump and EV charge point. For private individuals it does not cover the panels: that programme is reserved for companies and organisations.

IRPF

IRPF income-tax deduction — national

Reduces what you pay in next year's tax return: 20%, 40% or 60% depending on the energy improvement you certify, on a capped annual base. Requires energy certificates before and after the works.

Energy certificates: €423

IBI

Municipal IBI rebate

A discount on your annual property-tax bill for several years (25-50%). Each town hall sets its own percentage and terms, and it must be applied for. Available in Palma, Inca, Calvià, Manacor, Pollensa, Llucmajor and more.

Fixed-price management: €181

ICIO

Municipal ICIO rebate

A reduction of the construction tax (50-95%) when you apply for the works permit. Depends on the town hall and is generally managed together with IBI.

Included in IBI/ICIO management: €181

Is the IDAE Balearics subsidy still active?

No. The 2024-2026 call closed on 30 April 2026 once its funds ran out. Its place is now taken by FACTOR 2026, the Govern's call open until 28 February 2027. For private individuals it covers the battery, heat pump and EV charge point, but not the panels — which still qualify for the IRPF deduction (20-60%) and the municipal IBI and ICIO rebates.

How we work

How we handle your applications

Four clear steps for each subsidy application. You don't have to deal with any of it.

01

Document collection

We prepare all required documents: technical memorandum, invoices, NIE, property deeds, bank certificate. You send everything by email.

02

Forms completed

We complete all official forms in Spanish and collect digital signatures, which you can sign from anywhere in the UK or worldwide.

03

Online submission

We submit the application through the Balearic government's electronic office and obtain the official file number to track your application's progress.

04

Follow-up until payment

We track application status monthly and handle any additional requirements from the administration. IBI/ICIO rebates apply on next tax receipt; IRPF deduction in the following year's tax return.

What each one is worth

What each scheme contributes

Four routes, each with a different amount and a different timing.

€1,575-2,610

FACTOR grant · 10 kWh battery

45% of the real cost (€3,500-5,800 installed). Paid afterwards, not a discount on the invoice.

20-60%

IRPF deduction

Depending on the certified energy improvement, on a capped annual base. Applied in the following year's tax return.

25-50%

IBI rebate

For several years, according to what your town hall has approved. Applied for expressly.

50-95%

ICIO rebate

On the construction tax, requested when you apply for the works permit. Set by each town hall.

FACTOR amounts depend on the programme and installed capacity. IBI and ICIO percentages are set by each town hall.

Fixed-price management

What it costs to have us manage each subsidy

Clear fees, no hidden costs and no success commissions. You pay once and we handle everything.

Management 1

IBI/ICIO rebate

€181

  • · Document request and preparation
  • · Municipal forms completion
  • · Application to your municipality
  • · Tracking until rebate applied
Management 2

Energy certificates (IRPF)

€423

  • · Energy certificate before installation
  • · Energy certificate after installation
  • · Registration with the regional energy authority
  • · Required for IRPF deduction (up to 60%)

Combined package: IBI/ICIO (€181) + Energy certificates for IRPF (€423) = €604. A fixed fee — we charge the same regardless of the amount you receive.

FACTOR 2026 applications are quoted case by case, depending on the programme and the documentation required.

What you might be thinking

Real concerns about subsidy management

"Do the subsidies discount the installation price?"

No. You pay for the full installation and recover afterwards through separate channels: FACTOR pays out once the file is justified, the IRPF applies in your next tax return, and the municipal rebates reduce specific bills.

"How long does it take to get paid?"

It depends on the scheme. FACTOR is resolved in order of entry and paid after justification. The IRPF, in the following year's tax return. The municipal rebates, in the bill for the relevant period.

"What if one is refused?"

They're independent: one refusal doesn't affect the others. In FACTOR, if the file has correctable defects, there's a ten-working-day window to fix them before it's deemed withdrawn.

"Can I apply myself?"

Yes, everything is filed online. FACTOR requires a digital certificate, electronic ID or Cl@ve, and a signed technical report. We take it on if you'd rather not deal with the paperwork.

Why us

What sets us apart from other subsidy advisors

Impeccable documentation

The main cause of rejection is incomplete or badly presented documentation. We only work with installations that meet the requirements in full and get files right first time.

Fixed prices, no success commissions

Clear rates (€181, €423), regardless of the subsidy received. Where others take a percentage of what you get, we charge a fixed fee.

Specialists for non-residents

We specialise in managing subsidies for British property owners in the Balearics. We know the NIE requirements, digital signature, Spanish bank accounts — the whole post-Brexit non-resident process.

One point of contact

We act as your single point of contact for FACTOR, IBI/ICIO and IRPF certificates. One contact for all the paperwork, so you don't chase several offices.

Frequently asked questions

What we get asked the most about subsidy management

What exactly do you handle?

Municipal IBI and ICIO rebates, the energy certificates needed for the IRPF deduction, and FACTOR 2026 applications.

Can you handle FACTOR 2026?

Yes. It requires a signed technical report with an itemised breakdown for each programme and online submission with a digital certificate. Tell us about your situation and we'll tell you whether it qualifies and what amount you'd be entitled to.

What do I need before starting?

For the IRPF, the energy certificate issued before the works. For FACTOR, the installer's detailed quote. For IBI and ICIO, the municipal permit documentation. To claim the IRPF you need two energy certificates — one before and one after — which we issue for €423.

How does it work for non-residents?

We run the whole process remotely and in Spanish: you sign digitally from abroad and only need an NIE and a Spanish bank account for any payment. We confirm case by case which schemes fit your situation before you commit, since some have residency or domicile conditions.

Do you work on all three islands?

Yes, in Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca. Municipal rebates vary from one town hall to another, so we check the ones for your specific municipality.

How long does the process take?

Submission takes a few days once we have the documentation. Resolution times depend on each administration.

What if my case doesn't fit any scheme?

We tell you before starting and charge nothing. We'd rather that than file an application that's going to fail.
